Creating a Safer San Jose

 
 

UVI aims to create visibly safer streets downtown by establishing a cooperative system with the community, critical agencies, full-time walking patrol, and homelessness response teams.

In taking initiative, UVI has already met and walked downtown with the police chief (among other city government members) to meet and build closer relationships with small business owners. 

We are taking immediate action and working to procure a camera system and license readers to place on private property to help the SJPD get a better view of the city, as well as introducing block captains to monitor the area.
